What do I love about Amelia?
Oh that’s easy. It’s her gentleness. It’s both her spirit and the way she communicates it through her work – with a softness and a light that is all her own.
Amelia took one of my all-time favourite photos (of myself). The bride and I – negotiating muddy ground. She has half her skirts bunched up in one hand – and my hand in her other. I’ve got the back of her skirt -and we are walking and talking before the ceremony. The photo tells so much. It was one of those moments that nobody sees. I didn’t know that Amelia saw it either – but there we were – in beautiful black and white – like two friends that have known each other forever – ready to do something big together.
I tell all my couples (because it’s true) to choose a photographer that makes them feel comfortable; happy and relaxed. Choose someone whose heart and passion is truly in their work; someone whose heart sings – and their work will be beautiful. Amelia’s work is beautiful – for every single one of those reasons.
